After the poses done facing upward, now time to do more poses laying down ward. Some opposite poses are must done after, to make balance of our body structure. Spine which is the base of our body. When it is strong means we are strong. So let’s do the other way of this pose. Let me remind you, do every pose with full of spirit, then you get it’s advantage. It is better if you deep down with your soul while you do all yoga postures.

12. Biparit merudandasan ( opposite spinal chord pose):

Step 1:Lay down keeping your right hand straight in front and put your left hand at your back hip. Then rise your left leg to the opposite as much as you can breathing in at the same time, feel the stretching at your spine. Now change to the other side same. Left hand in front and right leg stretching behind to the opposite side as much as you can breathing in and back to normal position breathing out.

Step 2 : Now put your right hand in front like you did before and left hand to you back. Now lift your right hand and left leg at once breathing in , look at you hand in front. Back to the normal breathing out. Now change your hand, left in front and right at your back. lift your left hand and right leg at once breathing in look at your left hand in front . Back to your normal position and relax.

Step 3: Now laying down put your hands to your back and catch your right wrist from your left hand. Breathing in lift your upper body , look up at the sky. Breathing down. Again breathing in lift your upper body and both legs also this time , look up at the sky. Then breathing down rest your body to normal. Repeat this for 3 times.

Step 4: Now put your both hands in front of your chest. Put your left hand first and on it put your right hand. Fold your legs behind . breath in then twist your body to one side ,breathing out at the same time try to touch the ground by your legs , look at your legs. Again breath in and back to the position, then twist your body to the other side breathing out, look at your legs. So while twisting or squeezing your body feel the stretching at your back.

How to prepare??

First we need to fry dry or roast like popcorn in a pan or in a pot like pressure cooker(means bit thick one). Fry one at a time small portion in a low flame of stove until it gets good looking brown.

Then after fry different lentil or grains one at a time.

Then grind it in grinder and make flour.

All masalas should be dry and grind it .

When you grind all, not much like powdered, not too much grind is nicer.

Then mix up all flour you just made rice, lentil, beans, masalas then make it cool.

Now store it in vacumed dried jar or bottle.

You can cook it as much you want per day.

First make a pot hot . Boil some water about 2/3 glasses in another pot.

Put some ghee as you like then fry a masala, jwano when it gets black and fry some prepared flour about one big spoonfull for per bowl. If you are preparing for two people take two big spoonfull and boiled water about two glasses.

You fry it in ghee until it gets nice brown look, then add boiled water .

Stir it well then add salt as your taste. cook it until gets bit thicker. As you like !!

Now you serve it hot with bread or chapati.

Enjoyyyyyyyyyyyy BULUCHA !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Namobudhha, very pleasant place for hiking lovers. It is just near Dhulikhel and Panauti. Actually it is very peaceful holy place for Buddhist and Tibetans. On Janai Purnima, there lots of pilgrims visit as well as others and observe mela (fair).

You can do hiking from Dhulikhel, it takes about three hours, but depends how you walk. The road is just raw and dusty even it is nice walk or biking . You can come back to Dhulikhel or got to Panauti – stay there or go by bus to Bhaktapur. It is a nice one day hiking trip.

Very few known about this stupa, actually it is important destination for foreigners as well as citizens. We can see some of pictures of dead people hung on the wall. Those are kept by families to rest their soul in peace in this holy place. That is the strong belief of Newars in the community. It looks so interesting to feel such part.

It is worth going up from the back left of the stupa about 10 minutes up hill to see some beautiful monastries and gompas. There is an interesting story about the place where we can see some statue made showing Budhha feeding himself to a tigress. A legend relates that the Buddha came across a tigress close to death from starvation and unable to feed her cubs. Then sorrowful Buddha allowed himself to eat to hungry tigress. So one can learn to save this nature and animals to save our beautiful earth. It is a lesson for the mankind in this society, and tells Buddhism to the community.

So, to bring peace in this world, we should take this and practice in our daily life. I hope and suggest you can try this hiking trip for peace, for fun, to observe nature closely. Good luck!!

The view from the back area of Namobuddha is just fantastic!!!

Before leaving from there, we had yaameeeeee tasty dal bhat, especially buff sukuti which was hung and dried up that wooden stove, very tasty, still my mouth waters……!!!! when i remember this.

Dear friends!! Sorry for not posting newer chapter for yoga. Load shedding in Nepal made all plans effected. Any way new postures continues…….

10.Jhulasan ( Swinging posture):

This posture is done after Merudandasan ( Spinal chord posture). Laying down on the ground with full of force rise your both legs like we do for Halasan (Plough posture) then swinging try to stand on your toes only. Again swing for more like 8/10 times.

This posture makes your back bones a proper massage/acupressure and helps to reduce sinus problem.

11. Gudasan ( Rolling posture):

This is also done for back bone massage and acupressure to the other way from right to left. To this claps to your folded legs like you hold to your legs for Pawanmuktasan, then roll to the right taking long breath in at the same time and when your body reach to the other ground then squeeze your neck in other way breathing out. Then roll to the other side breathing in and again move your head squeezing and breathing out at the same time. Repeat this for 5/6 times.

This posture helps to reduce your pain at your back and tension .

12. Balasan ( Child posture):

This is done laying down and moving your hands and legs as well as you head like an infant does when it is about 3/4 months. Then laugh from you heart, at the same time as much as you can moving all your body parts with legs/hands/ head at the same time.

This makes you feel better doing yogasan. This posture motivates to do other postures and make you feel happy and goes away your shyness.

After this postures do some full stretching taking long breath in and lifting your legs and hands bit above like 2/3 inches from the ground. This is the end of the postures done laying upward. Then we need to turn over laying downward and do other postures. To turn over do it in yoga way, turn over from left .

Season has changed Autumn to Spring, falls holi festival in Nepal. It is a festival of color. In the season spring we get color so this festival reminds it the season as arrived. We get colorful flowers and plants in spring and that is shown by this color festival. People get entertained by playing color, throwing each other and throwing water balloons. People celebrate this as a means of harmony. Some times it gets wild these days, while throwing in force to unwanted . People play with water in friend circle and in neighbour hood. We can buy many powdered color in red/white/pink/green/yellow. Some make black with mobile which is hard to remove later. Young girls are the target to throw such water balloons and color. There is a popular folk newari song speciality of holi festival,

” Holi ya mela tan chayala lyashe, aviran chhangu khwa hisi deka be” ( in this holi festival don’t get angry if i rub you avir ( red color power) on you face to make you pretty….)
